not being pregnant seen a dramatic improvement/growth in your skin hair and nails?
Have any of you that's taken prenatal vitamins?
It can be beneficial yes, but have you tried Hair skin and nails vitamins they work better because its focused on the vitamins needed for those 3 things only.
Reply:My friend did. She was on them for a year before she got pregnant and her hair and nails grew really fast, and they were strong and healthy.
Reply:I have... it help ur hair and nails alot...helps ur hair grow and stengthens ur nails...
Reply:absolutely, we take them everyday...so does my hubby, he had cancer a few years back and after his treatment his iron levels were low and our dr prescribed some for him, it helps give him all the vitamins he needs and keeps him healthy.
Reply:I took them the month I found out I was pregnant until my baby was born..They say if you are breastfeeding to continue taking them. I found that I was less prone to sickness and yes my hair and nails grew throughout my pregnancy.
Reply:I am taking them now and am not pregnant (yet that is). Maybe its in my head, but my nails seem much healthier then normal.
Reply:Prenatal vitamins are excellent to take even when not pregnant. Not only do they help your hair and nails, it has been found that a good healthy dose of folic acid is helpful in dementia patients. We check every patient coming in to our geriatric psych unit for a proper level of folic acid(folate) If they are low, we give them a daily dose. It's good for your brain.
Reply:I wouldn't I wouldn't want to risk choking on one of those big horse pills if i didn't have too!
Reply:im told that female competitive athletes take them too as they find them particularly well tuned for women who are putting the extra strain on their bodies that intensive training does for competitions
not dissimilar to the strains on pre%26amp;post natal women's bodies eh?
Reply:I have been taking prenatal vitamins for about 6 months (i'm not pregnant) and I have noticed that my hair is shinier and grows faster and my nails are stronger. So to answer your question, yes they work.
Reply:Sure! I took them before my wedding - it was great for the nails.
Reply:Yes... I took them for 6 months before I got pregnant and right through to breastfeeding. My hair and nails were strong and healthy. I stopped taking them about three months ago, and now my nails are back to peeling and brittle again.
I think I'll start taking them again just for the benefits to my nails and hair lol.
Reply:if you take prenatal vitamins then yes you will see a dramatic improbement in your skin, hair, etc. why? because You're supposed to take them when you are pregnant to help the baby grow and have as much nutrition as it needs. However, if you are not pregnant, they have vitamins that are similar to prenatal vitamins except they ARE meant for people who arn't pregnant, you know, to help with hair/ nails etc. I would suggest those instead.
Reply:I took them when I was pregnant both times and my hair was LOVELY!
Reply:You should also consider using FAST - Fortified Amino Scalp Therapy - which is a hair growth shampoo, conditioner and supplement set. It contains the optimum ingredients to encourage strong, healthy hair growth.
