Reply:African American hair is in fact very fragile because of its dryness. Therefore, it requires special care. Now, there are many sources that offer black hair care advice. Useful information about black hair care includes black hair drying tips, black hair washing tips, and more tips.

Reply:I am a Prof. Hairstylist and Instructor. Please go to the Dermatologist. But my quess is ? Honey you have premature Alopecia (adnormal hairl loss, the sudden falling out of hair in round patches or baldness in spots on the scalp and elsewhere on the body.

Information: Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disease that causes the affected hair follicles to mistakenly attack by a persons immune system, its the white blood cells stopping the hair growth (anagen) phase. Alopecia areata usually begins wilth one or more small round, smooth bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total scalp hair loss or coplete body hair loss. Alopecia areata occurs in males and females of all ages and races and most oftern in childhood. The scalp usually show no signs of inflammation. Alopecia atreata occurs in individuals who have no obniou skin disorder of disease.

Treatment: Of all treatments that are said to counter hair loss, there are only two products----minoxidil and finasteride---which have been proven to stimulate hair growth and are approved by the FDA for that purpose. Minoxidil is a topical (applied to the surface of the body) medication that is applied to the scalp twice aday, and has been proven to stimulate hair growth. It is sold over the counter (OTC) as a nonprescription drug. Minoxidil is available for both man and women and comes in two different strengths: 2% regular and 5% extra strength. It is not known to have any negative side effects.

You can also use (for blacks only) Surfur Eight Hair Oil and Shampoo.

Reply:See this is another reason i don't relax anyways you have to realize a relaxer is a chemical i know it seems obvious but people don't think much of it when you chemically straighten your hair you put a harmful chemical on it and thats fine and all but your hair is not invincable it will react to what you put on it and usually it gets straighter but over time you'll realize that relaxers do not help your hair in any way except making it easier to comb through pesonally when you put the relaxer on you just made a death wish for your hair if you aren't going to be fully obligated to taking care of your hair.A relaxer chemically breaks down the hair removing part of the strand by breaking and rearranging the bonds of the hair strand removing the curl pattern and damaging the hair. To grow your hair back out use a good shampoo without sulfate deep conditon often and flat iron your hair as it grows out, keep it trimmed reguarly and finally when it's full and healthy again you can relax again if you please

by the way a relaxer may seem to make your hair more managable but it comes with the price of breakage. Most black women with perms have hair that stops at their shoulder this is because they alwalys wear it down where it rubs against their clothes and breaks off permed hair is very fragile and will never be as healthy as natural hair with no chemical treatment and this is a scientific fact. :P you can still grow your hair long with chemical treatment with tips from this website called www.growafrohairlong.com plz get off of those doo gro, mega gro, will gro,etc products they hardly ever work

products i suggest are:

http://www.allurebeautysupply.com/SURGE-... %26gt;%26gt;encourages hair growth

http://www.au-naturale.com/sheabutter.ht... (unrefined and all natural it's the best moisturizerfor hair and skin) %26gt;Moisturizer

http://www.aubrey-organics.com/spec_prod... %26gt;%26gt;shampoo/condish

also try retiring from hair grease because all it does is clog up your scalp since it's petroleum based aka vaseline instead swith to essential (liquid) oils they have better properties to help hair than dax hair grease, etc

o yeah here's a little proof for my theory
