How much more height can I obtain or I have I stopped?

I am an 18 year old male( turning 19 in 2 months) and I have grown 3/4 of an inch in the past year. However my growth as always kind of been steady, I never really had a huge growth spurt( peak was 2 inches in one year 14-15) At 5'8 3/8 at just 15 my growth pattern told me that I was going to be 5'11, well it never happened( Dad is 5'11 mom 5-4-5'5) Both of my grandpas were 6 feet). when I turned 17 I had grown only to 5 foot 9. I Thought I was done growing( even though I looked like a 14 year old without any hair on my face) Well when I turned 18 during last summer, all of a sudden my voice started cracking, started growing light facial hair, fine chest hairspimples all over the place and grew 3/4 of an inch to my current height of 5'9 3/4. I still have very oily skin and my voice still breaks occasinaly and my facial hair grows very slo?w. In your opinion how much height can you think I can get

Well first of all you do have a little chance of growning, I am a girl and i know that Girls stop growing at 18 and boys take longer up to 22. You still have 4 years to go, don't worry, your height is fine to me :D

Our growth spurts really start as the summer hits because kids are not under so much stress...

My nephew went to Rockwall, Texas. Kids there would beat him up because he did not wear rich enough clothes. The Principal would not help. They moved away and in one month he grew 9 inches, and now can sleep. Before he could not sleep, he had sleep deprivation so bad he could not remember where the refrigerator was and had to be guided and guided when told to get something.

He is well adjusted now, and over 6'1" and the girls really go after him. He is happy and away from insecure people that have to put down others so they do not look so bad.

When I say stay away from violent or fearful TV.....

THE MIND ONLY THINKS WHAT IT HAD GOING INTO ITS EYES IS REAL....IT DOES NOT DIFFERENTIATE FROM TV TO WHAT IS TRUE REALITY. WHEN THE BODY IS AROUND STRESSFUL TIMES EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY, AS WELL AS TOXINS, IT WILL KICK START IT INTO HARDENING UP, MATURING AS AN ADULT, SO THAT IT CAN SURVIVE UNDER HARD STRESSFUL TIMES IN A STRONGER CONDITION.

What I mean by hardening up :

Example: My 3rd son who is 27 now, while he was in High School, had an idiot for a gym coach in Plano Texas. The coach kept telling him that NO PAIN NO GAIN, and overworked him in lifting weights for football training.

2 things happened,

(1) he used up his minerals and his muscles could not stretch properly and they would tear. He still has pains in his torn knee ligaments trying to lift weights for too long at a time. He also has pains in his torn chest muscles from lifting weights too long at a time. It has been this long in his life, and he still suffers.

(2) Second thing that happened, By lifting TOO HEAVY weights at TOO YOUNG AN AGE, ...HIS GROWTH PLATES AT THE END OF EACH BONE AT HIS JOINTS, STARTED HARDENING TOO EARLY....TO BECOME A MAN....SO HE COULD HANDLE THE HEAVY WORK LOAD IN HIS ENVIRONMENT.

HE LOST SEVERAL INCHES TO HIS GROWTH, BECAUSE THOSE GROWTH PLATES HARDENED TOO MANY YEARS EARLY. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AROUND 5'11" FROM HIS GENETIC LINEAGE, BUT WOUND UP 5'7".

My 2nd son who is 28 now, was the champion featherweight wrestler in the 10th grade there in Plano, Texas. His idiot coach had him dieting to stay the featherweight size, so he could maintain his championship. HE HAD HIM DIETING JUST AT THE TIME HIS GROWTH WAS SUPPOSED TO REALLY TAKE OFF AND SHOOT UP...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...SHOOT OUTWARDS ON BONE STRUCTURE.

He also got sick at that time, and his BONE STRUCTURE IN HIS FACE DID NOT EXPAND, AND HIS SHOULDERS AND HIPS DID NOT EXPAND, AS WELL AS HIS HEIGHT PROJECTION THAT DOCTORS HAD PROJECTED WHEN HE WAS 2 1/2 THAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 6'1",

He WOUND UP as 5'7", and his face bones and head as well as his body, are frail, narrow as a young boy's face bones, and shoulders and hips as well, ARE NARROW AND FRAIL, and he developed a type of illness that started wasting him away in his flesh.

Even his face became so sunken in that his forehead bowed in and his temples bowed in, his eyes sunken in, looking like a Jewish Hollacost victim, his cheeks that had cute dimples, now have a long line down each side, and flesh is pinched tight on his face and cheeks. His legs and arms are scrawney with no leg muscles. He tries all types of health programs, and it does not kick start anything into growing again.

My oldest son 31 now, is strong and square, with large bones in his face, and shoulders and hips. He did not go to Plano, Texas, and did not get into their idiot school program.

Those coaches should be investigated, as well as other schools, in their teaching practices. They do not care about the children, only if they win at any cost.....

Can I grow?
It's possible to continue to grow when you're 19, but not very usual for a 20 or 21 year old. The reason is that your bone structures start to finish maturing around 21. Therefore, there isn't much room for growth. However, there are some exceptions. I know a 19 year old who grew from 6'1" to 6'3". If you want to increase your chances of growing to the 5'10" or 5'11" height, make sure you get the proper nutrition, rest/sleep, and exercise. I suggest you do stretches and aerobic exercises. They relax the limbs and keep them healthy. You can probably gain an inch or maybe even two more inches. Good luck. I was 5'9" at 18 and grew to 5'10.5" by doing what I told you there.

Boy start growing later than girls so girls are done growing about 3 years after their menstral cycle starts whereas guys will grow until like 21, 22, or sometimes 23. All depends on the individual. You will grow more don't worry! Be happy with how you are right now :)

i have combination skin and some parts of my face gets really oily and tends to promote the growth of acne whereas the other parts of my face are quite dry.. and i used a new product containing sulfur and my face drys up totally and red, scaly patches appeals.. i have discontinued the product and now my face is back to combi again.. so anyone out there with combination skin and have a good acne product to recommend?

To treat acne I would recomend benzaclin %26amp; retin-a, which you can get with an easy visit to the doctors. Benzaclin dries up zits, so only apply it to your t zone. Avoid your cheeks. Retin-a removes skin cells and fights cystic acne (the really big zits that hurt %26amp; cannot be popped). Retin-a can be applied to your whole face, but with less on your cheeks.

I use bioelements crucial moisture on my dry spots because it does not make my skin break out. Look for an oil-free moisturizer to apply to your dry spots.

Circumcision should only be considered as a last resort. You can probably stretch your foreskin and end up with a better result quicker than recovery from circumcision (which takes two months until any sexual activity is possible and six months until the swelling goes down completely.

As far as a product you can apply, I have heard that Rogaine and similar hair-regrowth products can work on eyebrows, but I have not tested this theory myself since I don't want longer thicker eyebrows!

What are the positive and negative aspects of fasting/ food deprevation?

well right now im in college and the cafeteria is open only during certain hours. I don't always have snacks to munch on in between those times and i just so hungry. Can food deprivation have neurological impact as well as physical? I heard somewhere that by "fasting" your skin gets clearer and the white in your eyes gets whiter and your growth hormones get stimulated, etc. So can anybody help me out here?

Actually, your going to wish you ate something.

Fasting will give you headaches, low blood pressure which causes the dizzy spells, loss of concentration, poor memory retention (which you will need in college!)

When I was restricting, my eyes went yellow, not white. This was because I was causing damage to my liver. My skin went white, a translucent white, that made everyone ask if I was feeling okay because I didn't look so good.

Fasting will also stunt your growth, not stimulate it. Don't do it!

Facial hair - hormonal? Can anything reasonable be done?

I'm a 38-year-old woman. In the last few years, I've started to grow a tremendous amount of chin-neck "whiskers." They are dark, thick, and spikey! I've been plucking them, but then I get what looks like acne. I've thought about waxing, but some of the hairs don't break through the skin right and look like black-heads until I tweeze them out -- they are under the surface. I'm sooooo sick of this! I figure at this point, I have two options -- either keep on plucking or join the circus as the bearded lady! :-( Could this be like a pre-menopausal hormone shift? My libido is constant (never had any problems with that, other than hubby's slowing down), I don't have any period issues (have had the Mirena IUD since August and LOVE it - hasn't effected the hair growth at all). I even tried the Vaniqa cream from my dermatologist after seeing a commercial. Not only did it not work at all, but it only turned my skin bright pink. HELP!!!

I can't answer what is causing it for you. But I use Sally Hansen's extra strength creme hair remover for face. You just put the creme where the unwanted facial hair is, leave it on for 8 minutes and then wipe it off and all the hair is gone. I use it and it has always worked for me and doesnt leave my skin pink. It is very inexpensive and can be found at walmart. I usually have to repeat this process just once a month. It is a very good product and works very well.

Modeling in Japan?

I'd like to do like part time modeling Japan or Eastern Asia (probably starting when I'm like 17 or 18). I'm slender and 5'8 ft. I don't know if I'll grow anymore because I have stunted growth. My hair is long (down to my knees) and medium-thick. My skin is super pale (Nicole Kidman has nothing on me) and I'm pretty photogenic. But I was told I would have problem with my breasts (they're a DD American which is E in Japanese sizes. Could I get work or would my breasts be a problem?

Reply:The foreign models who get honest modeling work and high prices in Japan are those that were already famous models in their home countries first, and then were invited over as guest stars, like Paris Hilton and other famous supermodels. Japanese people love seeing famous foreigners advertise Japanese products (lots of billboards with Tommy Lee Jones, Cameron Diaz, etc.). I can't think of any foreign models who actually started their careers in Japan and made it big here.

She wrote about the science of bio molecular and the chemical bond formed comparing it with the union between lovers. Here she meant Louise, Elgin wife. Elgin was a doctor, who worked in Switzerland scientific laboratory, where he uses computer science for his study of diseases and cell multiplications, where he saw gene therapy as sexy, thus integrating love with science of medicine. In addition, his dad worked as chemist and owned a chemist shop, and his mum died of cancer.

Is my dog losing or growing hair?

I found a stray male chihuahua over the weekend that is either losing or growing fur all over his back. He is not scratching and is otherwise fine and playful. The hair loss/growth is not symetrical at all or in any uniform shape. His skin is not reddenned or darkened at all. He is very clean, neutered, and house trained. He must have been a very loved pet and I am still looking for his owner just in case ( I don't want to take someone's pet). Does anyone know how to tell if he is losing or growing hair in case I get to keep him?

Can I get some more height?

I just turned 19 years old my mom is 5'4 and my dad is 6 feet or 5'11 3/4. Both of my grandfathers were 6 feet. My dads grandfather was 6'3. But my grandmother is 5'2, I have grown like a half an inch over the past year, last year I was 5'9, measured at the docter. Now I am 5'9 1/2. My voice started cracking a year ago, and light facial hair started appearing, and my facial hair is finally starting to appear. I also have had a slow growth pattern. I was 5'8 1/2 at age 15. My skin is still oily and I get pimples still. What are my chances of growing until I am 21-22

Males usually don't stop growing in height until they are in there early twenties. I would say your chances of putting on another inch or so is relatively good. Which 5'91/2 to me is not a bad height. Youre a 1/2 inch above average.

Princess-the other answers were very good. I just want to assure you that removing moles is not painful. They put a drop of liquid nitrogen on the mole and the spot is red for about a day. Since I'm a man, I don't know much about make-up, but I'm sure there's a beauty product you could use to hide the redness. It is important to have your doctor check the moles. I've had a couple removed from my face that were not cancerous, but just interfered with shaving or were (I thought) unattractive.

Reply:I think you mean moles. There is nothing you yourself should do to take them off. Talk to your doctor/dermatologist. My son started having fast growing moles when he was about your age. We had the doctor remove them and he checked to make sure that they weren't anything dangerous, like skin cancer.
Reply:Do you mean that you have a lot of moles? If so, almost everyone with light skin has at least a few. If one is irritating you by rubbing against clothing or just in a bad location, a dermatologist can remove it for you. If you are suddenly growing a lot of them or each one is growing in size, you should definitely have that checked by a doctor.

If you're just talking about skin blemishes (acne) there are many good products out there. My teen daughter uses Proactive. Works wonders.

Mechanical Pencil Puncture?

About two months ago I poked my finger really hard with a mechanical pencil. I don't remember which finger it was because I never looked at it again after it was poked. Anyway, my problem is that I have a funny looking sore on one of my fingers and I don't know if it is from where the pencil poked me or if it is something like a growth that I need to be concerned about.

When I first noticed it, the sore looked brownish with a reddish colored ring underneath the skin. It was about the size of a pencil eraser (or a little smaller). So, to see what it was, I took a fingernail clipper and clipped the top layer of skin and it bleed on and off for about 1 hour. Then, today I fell down and the sore started bleeding again.

My question is...has anyone ever developed a brownish sore on the outer layer of skin and a reddish colored ring underneath the skin from a pencil jab? It is about the size of a pencil eraser (or a little bit smaller).

Laser Hair Removal for Men - Reduction possible or complete Removal?

I am male considering LHR and need your help.

My arms are quite hairy indeed, to the point where I want to have something done. I understand from various reading that the laser that passes through skin to damage the hair follicles only affects hairs that are currently in their growth phase. Multiple sessions would be required in order to remove all hairs.

Now, as a man, I don't want COMPLETELY hairless arms... but I DO want there to be a significant reduction in comparison to how they are now. I figured that having less sessions would result in a 'symmetrical' reduction rather than complete removal. But I also figure that hairs are randomly in growth/dormant phases and by having fewer sessions so that not all hairs are removed, random patches of hairs will still be present....

I am an 18 year old male( turning 19 in 2 months) and I have grown 3/4 of an inch in the past year. However my growth as always kind of been steady, I never really had a huge growth spurt( peak was 2 inches in one year 14-15) At 5'8 3/8 at just 15 my growth pattern told me that I was going to be 5'11, well it never happened( Dad is 5'11 mom 5-4-5'5) Both of my grandpas were 6 feet). when I turned 17 I had grown only to 5 foot 9. I Thought I was done growing( even though I looked like a 14 year old without any hair on my face) Well when I turned 18 during last summer, all of a sudden my voice started cracking, started growing light facial hair, fine chest hairspimples all over the place and grew 3/4 of an inch to my current height of 5'9 3/4. I still have very oily skin and my voice still breaks occasinaly and my facial hair grows very slow. Do you think I am going to be one of those people who doesn't stop growing until 21 or I have stopped already? How tall do you think I am going

well he told me he thinks i have pcos but i have red the web sites and i just dont fit the profile!i dont have the extra hair growth, i have a perfect 28 day regular cycle, no oily or acne skin(i have skin like a babys bottom)i dont get crampy pains.I am a bit over weight but thats only cause when i met my partner 5 years ago when i was 16 it was easier for us to eat take away 3 times a day and i thought it wouldnt matter if i did it cause i was heaps skinny anyway!!(silly silly little teenager)and anything else they call "signs" i just dont have them! the only problem with me is i dont ovulate.i fell pregnant three years ago off three rounds of 50 mg clomid..i just dont think i do have it somethings just not right! he said its cause my insulin test was up but the lady told me when i had the test done to tell the doctor it might be a bit off cause i fasted for too long and that can make the test say a bit more then it should......help what do you think???

I was diagnosed to have Polycystic ovaries. I bleed every month, I am of a perfect healthy fit weight, no acne, no extra facial hair non of the symptoms associated...although they say not all women develop these classic symptoms.

I have also been pregnant (although we lost the baby at 22weeks).....but upon seeing a fertility specialist (after trying again for a year)and undergoing an ultrasound...there they were like a string of pearls around each of my ovaries. I have eight on my left an six on my right.

An ultra sound will I'm sure guarantee whether or not you have this,you can still fall pregnant but it reduces the chances a bit.Goodluck.

Reply:I'm guessing you're about 22, right? Well, just so you know, the ONLY PCOS symptom I had at that age was annovulation. If read enough, you'll see that as you approach 30, then 40, the symptoms can really add up. It wasn't until after my DD's birth when I was 30 that I started losing my hair (male pattern), had awful skin tags, got hirsutism (extra "male" hair), gained weight, etc.

The only issue in my 20's was not being able to get pg. At age 32 I was also diagnosed with insulin resistance, which also comes along "later" with PCOS.

I think it's *wonderful* that your gyn is being so proactive with this. Even if you don't have it, it doesn't hurt to treat it. I really think you're just one of the women who don't have many symptoms and b/c you're young it's not all showing up yet.

If there are questions w/ your blood sugar, then have the test redone - at another lab if necessary.

Whats the best method for hair removal?...?

I have a heavier growth than a normal woman..though not a hirsute nor do i have an endocrinological problem, i've got myself checked. I can get myself waxed on arms, legs, bikini area but what about my abdomen, breasts, between breasts, back? Its not a coarse growth, its just dark and dense..i've tried bleaching but it doesnt help, it just looks a dense growth of golden, i've tried shaving, but that again doesnt help, i've tried creams but the hair grows back just the same, waxing causes breakouts coz the skin on my trunk is sensitive. I cant afford laser for such a vast body surface area. Besides the doctor said the hair is softer so laser wont work that well.. What do i do? Also, my hair grows back very quickly, even after waxing..what do i do in between waxes, when the breakout looks stubbly and really bad? The hair is not long enough to be waxed..i've tried shaving but it gives me a thicker hair growth and the hair grows back even more quickly. Plz help.

You can do a full body wax. The thing about waxing is that if you do it long enough then the hair will get very fine and eventually will not grow back, it just takes a while. Breakouts are very common when you wax but if you do it diligently then those will stop also. Even though your not looking into the Lazer hair removal if you dont want to do the waxing or creams then thats your best bet. It works no matter what.
