Hi, I'm really stressed with the fact that I'm 15, asian and 5'1, only in early stages of puberty (oily skin, pimples, short peach fuzz "down there", dandruff) small stuff really, I recently asked my mom about my height (she wants me to be very tall) she says I might not get a growth spurt because I "don't eat much", I don't eat much because our dinners are all 3 week old leftovers, but when something's fresh, I voraciously eat. I have been feeling more hungry recently (cravings for vegetables, fruit, hot meals, healthy things after meals and before bed) and I also grew half an inch in 3 weeks, an improvement. The endocrinologist said I had delayed growth, and that there was no problems with my hormones.
What do you guys think,
will I have a growth spurt sometime in life?
Thanks
No growth spurt 15, short forever?
Just wait a bit longer. This kid in my grade as a freshman was short, maybe 5'6. Now as we finished up Junior year he is almost as tall as me 6'3!

You'll grow, you just have to keep being patient.
Reply:if the expert said it, it's probably right that is his( or her ) job.
Reply:You're still young. I had a guy friend go from 5'6 to 5'11 when he turned 17. Everyone's different, so you just might have a delayed growth spurt like my friend did.
Reply:It is basically hereditary. If your parents are like 5'4 then most probably you will be within that height. My parents are like 5'6 tall so I got to be 5'8. Wait until you are 16 or 17. This is usually the age when guys suddenly grow fast. And I see you are not having much nutrition considering you eat left overs. You need good food considering you are in puberty and is growing. That is why kids these days are getting taller than their parents because there is more choices or available food today than before.
