On CNN today one story concerned growth hormone for kids that are short, $200,000 so your child who still is growing might be a little taller in 4th grade when he isnt done growing. Didnt hitler try to do this with the perfect race, why are we changing our children, yes some children dont reach 6 ft but isnt it better to have diversity than one set height, whats next, eye color or skin color, when are they going to start messing with the unborn child while female is pregnant, is that next changing your child before he or she is even born, this is not your decision to make, yes lets find the cure for diseases that are deadly and leave childrens natural growth alone
I thought the third reich was dead? What's with growth hormones?
Growth hormones, when properly used, are a good thing. If your child, because of malnutrition, IBS, Celiac's disease or many other things, is undergrowing their potential they can be a real help.
You have a good point about taking them so your child is 6-4 instead of 6-1. That's not a good plan.
But if your child is on track to be 4 foot 5 as an adult, then they can do a little something to improve the child's overall height as an adult.
The key is you're not modifying the natural height they would have attained anyway if they had not had a medical bump in the road.
Reply:oh i agree totally....
Reply:As much as we hate the ideas of The Third Reich, there were things that came out of it that has helped and advanced the medical field. Unfortunately, they used human instead of guinna pigs. We might as well accept all of this.
Reply:I believe that there are growth hormones in some of the foods we eat. Some animals get injected with it to increase beef or milk production and it gets into our system when we eat. This is one of the reasons I switched to organic milk because I don' t need my daughter to get growth hormones in her body. If she's meant to be tall or whatever, then she will do it because of her genes she inherited.
You mentioned growth hormones for those who are 'vertically challenged'. (short). :) It's ok to have it if someone is super duper short, and there is something wrong with them but if they are only 5'1" tall and they are full grown, just accept it and live with it. Uniqueness is not a common thing anymore...
