PCOS question, NEED HELP!?

ok, well lately i've been thinking i have ovarian cyst, and i was researching and ran into the whole PCOS thing, and as i was reading the symptons and such i saw something that well connected to me, i've always had a patch on my neck that is darker than the rest of my skin around my neck, also i have alot facial hair growth, and im obese (5'2 weigh 200lbs) now i've been having these pains in lower abdomen mostly on the left side but sometimes i feel them on the right and in my lower back, when i press down on my abdomen i get very bad lower back pain, can it be ovarian cyst or can it be pregnancy?

PCOS question, NEED HELP!?
have yourself examined by a gynecologist to be sure, but by the way you describe it , it does sound more like PCOS than pregnancy. A transvaginal ultrasound can diagnose PCOS easily, so have it done to be sure.

PCOS - Polycystic ovary syndrome produces high levels of male hormones which could explain your facial hair, acne and balding, it also lead to irregular menstruation and obesity.
Reply:well are u haven sex???????????
Reply:it can be a number of things, PCOS is a possiblity, but , you usually do not feel your PCOS cysts.

Coming form someone who has been there.. see a doctor oviously, but focus yourself on loosing weight.. it worked for me, but unlike me, try not to gain it back :)
Reply:the fact that you are having a patch on your neck doesn't mean you have pcos. one of the main feature is irregular periods. if you have been experiencing irregular periods or it ceased for a period of say 2 consecutive months then u should consult your doctor. even now i still think you should go see your doctor to carry out some tests to be sure of what is wrong. so then u can start looking for a solution. cheers!
Reply:i have to say Hun i don't think your pregnant and please stop reading things on the Internet they only way you will get a straight answer is by talking to your GP, the pain you discribe sounds like a urine tract infection pain on left side and back, i have patches on my skin they are called pigmentation, my GP also told me about my weight and because you are obese that could be causing most of your troubles too,
Reply:The best site for PCOS is www.soulcysters.net

Other PCOSers talk about the disease, the symptoms, meds, treatments.... it's a great place to talk to thousands and thousands of people in your shoes!

GOOD LUCK!
