Odd growth under nipple.....?

I'm a 17 year old male. 5'7, 125 pounds. About a week ago I noticed a small growth under my nipple.....its spherical and about the size of an ellipsed dime. It is tender, feels almost like a bruise when touched or pinched. I'm able to pull it away from my pecs so it appears to be connected to either the skin or the connective tissue. I'm very curious about this, I'm gonna go to the doctor about it soon, but I wanted to see if I could get some opinions first. any ideas?

This condition was formerly known as "adolescent nodes" and usually occurs in both breasts at once (in males). A small node, approximately 1/2" to 1" across forms beneath the nipple(s). The nodes are tender may seem to change size from time to time. They are not harmful. I had them as a teenager and they went away on their own. I didn't play football but I imagined that they would be VERY uncomfortable while playing football; even with the pads.


There is some evidence to suggest that the nodes could be symptomatic of cancer although this unlikely at your age. Nevertheless it's a good thing you are seeing a doc to have these nodules checked out.

it male tit growth because of so much estrogen(female hormone) in the body it will either stop there or it can continue until you will want gyno surgeryto removw the extra fat, youll be ok it happens to a lot of male sometimes at puberty
