OK. My boyfriend came down with a few little white bumps on his groin area, they are tiny and flesh colored…but they do not look cauliflowerish. Looking at pics online, I think that he has HPV. He and I have been together for a year and he had never been with anyone before me.
I never have had any kind of growth or blemish like this on my skin before. I have also had normal PAP tests since I have been going to gyn (every year). From what Ihave read it is possible for females to not know that they have/are carrying the virus.
I do not know what to do. He thinks I am crazy and is being very stubborn about going to the Dr. I am going to make an appointment to have myself tested.
Can anyone offer any advice??
HPV symptoms on partner, did i give it to him?
I think you both should go to the doctor toghehter. If he has never been with anybody else then there is no other way of him getting it then by you. It is possible that you could have had the virus and not even know it. It takes years....or just for your immune system to go down for you to know or some people just never know.
75%-80% of sexual people will experience HPV once in their lifetime. Your immune system will surpress it or clear it from your system.
Don't stress...your life is not over and it is very common. HPV has over 100 strands and it also causes warts on the feets and hands...so all you can do is get them removed.
Go to your doctor. Trust your doctor...listen to what they tell you. Every BODY is different. So just go by your experiences.
Good luck!
Reply:There are hundreds of strains of HPV and many people carry it for years with no symptoms. The only way to be sure it to get it checked by a doctor.
Reply:HPV is passed to women by men. They are unaware of any symptoms. YOU should make an appointment with your GYN to be tested as certain strains can turn into cervical cancer.
Reply:Yeah, you def. need him to get seen by a Dr. seems like he has an STD . Its kinda fishy if he is being stubborn about getting seen when he is having abnormal growth in his privates. Not only should his health be important to him but yours as well. If he isn't concern that he might give you something, then that doesn't sound good.Possibilities are that he might have contracted them from someone else and will give them to you if you are having unprotected sex. Think about it this way, If he goes to the Dr. and comes out + with an STD and you go to the Dr. and come out - for STD what is the outcome that he contracted them from someone else?
Proctect yourself sweetie.... you are the only one in charge of your well being :O)
Reply:Some men carry HPV for many years without knowing it because it doesn't show any symptoms. It is very possible that men may pass it to women. It is better if you will immediately see a doctor before it leads to a more serious case. God Bless!
