Orange spots near dogs eyes?

A dog I am looking after has orange spots near her eyes. They have occured before and are very bright and very small. They tend to occur when the weather is humid. They are hard to wipe off and grow where there is skin showing around the eyes. I was thinking maybe some type of fungus. And yes, the dog has been to the vets and the vet didn't know what it was. It doesn't seem to bother her too much although she does have generally sensitive eyes even when the orange growths aren't present. Now her canine mate is starting to get the same thing! Any ideas?

Go to a different vet....

They should culture it and see what it is....
Reply:Tear eyes? I belive that's what they are called. Sometimes a change of food, to something better gets rid of them..
Reply:it sounds like some kind of fungus, and contagious. If your vet does not know what it is, try a diff vet.

Good luck
Reply:Is it growth or is it stains? If it is stains, it is common among some dog breeds. Making sure your dogs diet does not contain soy, wheat or corn will help diminish these stains.
Reply:I looked on this sight, but I'm not sure exactly what you're describing looks like. This is all about eye problems, so you could take a look. It sounds to me like allergies, but for both of them to have it, that's just weird. Maybe you should get them checked out again. I hope it's not something serious.

Give the dogs a kiss for me! :)

Sorry, I'm really not that much of a help, but I'm trying to do more research. If I find anything, I'll put it under the comments section. Check back occasionaly in case I put something under there. I won't post anything there after January 1st. Sorry. I'll really try to find something. I really want these dogs to be cured.

(The problem is, you'd have to choose a best answer first, otherwise the comments box won't be there. I'll contact you somehow with info before January 1st.)
