Could someone tell me if this is indeed a wart?

I have had it over a year and it seems to never go away. I have tried over the counter wart band-aids. What happens if the skin gets white and falls off but the growth comes back within a few weeks. Look here http://www.claremontvoice.com/hosted/IMG...

It looks very much like a wart. Over the counter medications don't work very well because they don't get all the way down to the root. A dermatologist will "freeze" it and the whole thing will go away very quickly.
Reply:I do not see anything.

BTW there was something creepy about that picture.
Reply:No that is not a wart. Not sure what it is so go see your doc if it bothers you.
Reply:You've had it for over a year? If it is still a concern, I suggest going to the doctor. I had a wart on my elbow and it stayed forever until I finally froze it off with liquid nitrogen. *ouch*
Reply:thats a great picture, you should enter it into contest of somekind
Reply:ur not using enough wart band aids sometimes it takes weeks of wearing them before it gets all the way down in there. yes it is a wart i have one just like it on my hand. Hands and feet that where u get them.
Reply:It might be, I have something like that on y finger. But it comes and go. You might just want to check with your doctor.
Reply:looks like a wart go to the doctor to have it removed
Reply:It's because you press too hard when you write. It's a callous , I know because my sister , and alot of other people (including myself) who press too hard when they write have one of those , I have one on my ring finger.
Reply:cool pic think thats a planter wart, see a doc if its shitting you they can burn it off, otherwise keep tape over it if they cant breathe they die, dont waste cash on wart off products
Reply:I have the same thing and am not worried about it. Have had it over a year. I tried liquid bandages which didn't do a thing.

You'd have to see a very good dermatologist to get the proper diagnosis.

I know for sure that mine is not contagious, so I just don't worry about it. Though I sure wish I could remember at sick visits at the MD!
Reply:Hi- It appears as if you have a callous on ur pic. IT WAS NOT CREEPY either, thanks for the visual, it helps. Warts usually have a very rigid look to them, and normally there is a core to the wart itself. I would get this checked out, though, if this has been over a year, as something could be going on. Here are a few sites that may help you out. Good luck and take care!
