What is this growth on my dog?

While I was bathing my dog today, I saw a growth near her ear. It seems to be some kind of extra skin flap (it's pinkish white in color). I have no idea how long it's been there. It's pretty well buried under her fur, and it doesn't seem to bother her at all when I touch it. Any idea what this could be? She is an 11 month old Westie.

It is a skin-tag and you are right..it is just extra skin and really doesn't pose a problem. Our ****** had quite a few of them and the only thing we had to do is make sure the groomer knew he had them so they took extra care when trimming him. Also it would probably be a good idea to let your Vet know..just so they are aware of it. Good luck.
Reply:I really don't want to scare but I would suggest you take her to the vet and have him check it out. It might be nothing at all but then it could be something a serious as cancer. In April my toes started to swell then bleed it turn out to be cancer now he only has a couple of months to live. I am waiting to see if my vet can get a vaccine to cure him if not then he is going to go to doggie heaven. (I will put him down if the vet can't get the vaccine) Please don't wait. Take her asap.
