I am an 18 year old male( turning 19 in 2 months) and I have grown 3/4 of an inch in the past year. However my growth as always kind of been steady, I never really had a huge growth spurt( peak was 2 inches in one year 14-15) At 5'8 3/8 at just 15 my growth pattern told me that I was going to be 5'11, well it never happened( Dad is like 5'11.5 mom 5-4) Both of my grandpas were 6 feet). when I turned 17 I had grown only to 5 foot 9. I Thought I was done growing( even though I looked like a 14 year old without any hair on my face) Well when I turned 18 during last summer, all of a sudden my voice started cracking, started growing light facial hair, fine chest hairspimples all over the place and grew .70 of an inch to my current height of 5'9.7 I still have very oily skin and my voice still breaks occasinaly and my facial hair grows very slow. In your opinion how much height can you think I can get, and people think I look like I am 16
I am trying to get taller?
Your situation really mimicks mine, but I'm almost 21. You're almost certainly done growing. I'm 5'10(178) cm, dad is 5'10.5 or 5.11, mom 5.4 like yours, my beard is still coming in, I hardly have anything but a light goatee, but it still gets a little thicker all the time, I still have acne, though not very oily skin, but my growth plates are closed, yours probably are too, or same as, at the most 2 more cm.
I wasn't very far behind where I'm at now at 15 either, your growth pattern really matches mine, and I stopped about 18.
Reply:my brother got his face hair when he was 13 If u want to now how tall u will grow then go on google and search the height calculator in order for it to work most times u need to now ur parents height and i think ur weight
Reply:Hit the monkey bars, get a good nights rest, drink lots of vegetables and milk and run alot. I did this and Im only 15 and stand at 6'3 and I got my facial hair when I was 13
Reply:the height thing is usually something that's spontaneous. scottish tennis star andy murray is still spurting up so don't lose hope now. different people develop at different ages. the voice cracking etc will stop soon enough. for the oily skin try clearasil deep cleansing pads. they work very well. just wait it out and try and keep some confidence. that will override everything else.
Reply:Get over it.... that is what teenage years are like, girls rarely grow above 5'9... so just get on with life and stop worrying.
Reply:Nothing you do will make you grow any taller than your genetic make up allows. Its impossible to say how much more height you will attain, although from what you say you have some more growing time left (you seem to have started late!).
Even if you don't grow any more...5ft 9 isn't a bad height!
